For the Les Petits Gourmets hot meal ordering service
Introduction
Welcome to the Les Petits Gourmets hot meal ordering platform. This service is designed to offer your children healthy, varied meals, prepared each day by the kitchen team at your partner school.
Description of the service
- Hot meals: each meal includes a starter and a main course. Dessert is offered on Fridays.
-
Cost of the meal: the cost of the meal breaks down as follows:
- the families' contribution (amount paid at the time of the order);
- a top-up obtained from the CSF through the government program "Nourrir les avenirs" (Feeding the Future).
Logistics
- Orders: orders must be placed for two-week periods and must be completed before 11:59 PM on the Thursday preceding the period. After this deadline, orders will be billed as extra meals.
- Menu and platform: the menu for the next two weeks is available on the Our Menus page.
- Online help: if you need help placing an order or run into a problem, contact us via the contact page.
Operating rules
- Parents' responsibility: it is your responsibility to place orders within the allotted time and to provide a meal for your children on days when no hot meal is scheduled.
- Extra meals: any extra meal ordered outside the ordering period will be billed to parents, with a $1 surcharge per meal.
- Cancellation: ordered meals may only be cancelled and refunded if the kitchen team is notified at least 5 business days in advance.
- Communication: comments about meals, the menu, or the program should be sent via the contact page, which centralizes messages for your school's kitchen team.
- Equipment: children do not need to bring plates, cutlery, or napkins; your school's parent association generally provides the necessary utensils (please confirm with your school). After the meal, children must place their lunch box in the designated bin.
- Handling of hot meal leftovers: for health and legal reasons, it is strictly forbidden to bring leftovers from hot meals served at school back home. Refrigeration conditions for containers after the meal cannot be guaranteed, which could compromise food safety. In the event of a health issue related to the consumption of leftovers, the kitchen team, the school, and the program organizers could be held liable.
Allergies and dietary restrictions
It is the responsibility of the parent or guardian to accurately declare any allergy or dietary restriction of the child at the time of registration or ordering.
Operating fees and information
- Penalties: penalties may apply, per school, if the weekly average number of orders (for all children at that school) falls below 20 meals/day.
- Management fees: thanks to this platform, developed and maintained by the hot meals team, partner schools avoid the order management fees typically charged by third-party solutions.
Personal data
The information provided (email, child information, dietary preferences) is used exclusively for the purpose of managing meal orders and is not shared with third parties beyond the operational needs of the service (kitchen, school).
Conclusion
We hope your children will enjoy the meals and discover new dishes and foods. For any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us via the contact page.
